Abstract
Innovations in structural engineering are vital for constructing resilient and earthquake-resistant buildings and infrastructure. This paper delves into advancements in seismic design techniques, innovative construction materials, and retrofitting strategies to enhance the earthquake resilience of existing structures. It discusses the incorporation of smart materials, such as shape memory alloys, and the development of cost-effective retrofitting methods. The paper emphasizes the importance of these innovations in ensuring the safety and sustainability of infrastructure in seismic-prone regions.
